MetaMask just opened the door to traditional finance by integrating Ondo Finance’s Global Markets platform. Over 200 tokenized US securities are now available directly in the wallet, including Tesla, Apple, Nvidia, plus ETFs tied to gold, silver, and the Nasdaq. No brokerage account required.
This marks the first time tokenized US equities are natively available through a major self-custodial wallet. Non-US users in supported jurisdictions can hold, transfer, and trade these assets alongside their crypto using the same wallet and same keys.

How It Works
Ondo Global Markets tokenizes US securities as on-chain assets. Users can mint, redeem, and transfer these tokens directly, with full DeFi composability that lets them interact with lending protocols, DEXs, and other smart contracts. The integration lives inside MetaMask’s interface with no external platforms or separate accounts needed.
Why It Matters
Traditional finance has walls: geographic restrictions, minimum investments, slow settlement, and intermediaries taking cuts at every step. Tokenized securities tear those walls down.
Someone in Singapore can now hold Apple shares in the same wallet as their ETH and move between crypto and equities without leaving the ecosystem. Settlement happens on-chain, not through clearing houses.
Joe Lubin, Consensys founder, put it simply: “A single, self-custodial wallet where people can move between crypto and traditional assets without intermediaries and without giving up control.”
