Building the Web3 Developer Community at Scale
EasyA’s learning model centers around gamified lessons and a supportive global builder network. The app offers guided tracks for different blockchains, enabling users to deploy contracts, mint tokens, and use oracle data—all from mobile.
EasyA has partnered with over 300 blockchain clubs at schools like Harvard, Cambridge, and MIT. The result? A global funnel of student developers entering Web3. Notably, projects like Cognition AI—now a unicorn valued over $2 billion—originated from EasyA-affiliated hackathons.
In addition, more than 100 startups have launched through EasyA events. These include teams accepted into Y Combinator and funded by Andreessen Horowitz and Founders Fund. EasyA’s community isn’t just learning—they’re shipping.
Verified Blockchain Network Integrations and Engagement
EasyA’s growth has been powered by strategic collaborations with blockchain ecosystems that need developers. Each integration brings custom-built learning challenges, direct funding support, hackathon campaigns, and long-term ecosystem engagement. Below is a deeper look at how EasyA works with each major protocol and what builders can expect from these integrations.
Polkadot
Polkadot was one of the first major Layer-0 ecosystems to launch a full EasyA integration. The collaboration began with the rollout of over 100 developer challenges, covering Substrate, Rust, smart contracts using ink!, and Polkadot’s cross-chain messaging protocol, XCM.
By mid-2025, more than 130,000 developers had completed Polkadot-focused challenges in the app. In 2024, EasyA and the Web3 Foundation co-launched Polkadot University, a global campus program running events at Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, and Stanford. These university-based hackathons funded by the Polkadot Treasury led to the incubation of 111 startups in one summer.
Polkadot remains one of EasyA’s most engaged partners. It frequently sponsors multi-chain hackathons and invites winning teams to apply for Web3 Foundation Grants or participate in the Polkadot Blockchain Academy.

Algorand
EasyA has recently partnered with Algorand, creating new learning pathways and hands-on opportunities for developers. During a Genfinity interview, EasyA co‑founders Phil and Dom Kwok shared their enthusiasm about bringing Algorand into the platform and highlighted its appeal.
According to the EasyA team, Algorand tooling has vastly improved since early experiments. They praised AlgoKit, the SDK and local blockchain emulator, which now supports both Python and TypeScript. As Phil noted, the tooling makes it far easier to build on Algorand than it was just a few years ago, giving developers a smoother on-ramp — a crucial shift that EasyA plans to showcase in its app.
The integration process has been highly collaborative. Algorand’s team, including Victor Estival and Camila Sara, worked closely with EasyA to extract key developer stories, helping craft lesson modules that highlight Algorand’s strengths—such as CK-proof finality, low transaction latency, and rapid development workflows.
This collaboration culminates in an API‑powered Algorand hackathon, slated for late 2025. Through the app, builders will learn via interactive challenges, compete in the hackathon, and then access grants and introductions to Algorand accelerator programs—creating a clear funnel from onboarding to launching supported projects.
The partnership’s goal is to reach developers who may have forgotten Algorand, to remind them of its improved ecosystem, and to invite those new to Web3 through EasyA’s mobile interface. With over 1 million EasyA users already building across other chains, Algorand is poised to tap into a dedicated, cross‑chain audience—and EasyA is uniquely positioned to show why it matters.
