XDC Dev Sprint 1: Advancing RWA Tokenization with AI Agents

XDC Network's RWAi Dev Sprint 1 is underway, inviting developers to build AI agents for real-world asset tokenization. Explore how teams are using ElizaOS, competing for $78K+ in prizes, and advancing XDC’s growing RWA ecosystem.

The XDC RWAi Dev Sprint 1 facilitated by Cracked Labs has entered the build phase, a month-long challenge inviting developers to build AI agents for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. This sprint marks the beginning of the network’s broader RWAi (Real World Asset Intelligence) initiative, aiming to bring more intelligent automation to on-chain asset management.

Developers worldwide are now in the build phase of this sprint, using XDC’s AI tools, and competing for over $78,000 in prizes. The initiative blends blockchain infrastructure with artificial intelligence to accelerate adoption of RWA applications like trade finance, DeFi, and digital identity.

What Is the XDC RWAi Initiative?

The RWAi program is designed to support the development of AI-driven agents for on-chain applications. These agents can perform tasks such as evaluating invoice risks, managing smart payments, or coordinating lending operations. The goal is to simplify complex processes around real-world assets.

RWAi supports both grassroots developers and growing startups. It combines technical sprints like Dev Sprint 1 with longer-term incubation like the XDC RWA Accelerator, which the official XDC Network and XDC Foundation launched with Plug and Play Tech Center. Selected RWA Accelerator projects included names such as Blockticity, Polytrade, Clearpool, and InvestaX.

Together, these developer initiatives and accelerators aim to showcase the expanding RWA sector on XDC and attract builders solving practical problems using AI and blockchain.

The Current State of RWA on the XDC Network

Real-world asset tokenization on XDC is gaining real momentum. The network now supports multiple asset types—from U.S. Treasuries to digital invoices and private equity.

One of the biggest milestones came with USTY, a tokenized U.S. Treasury yield fund launched by Yieldteq. This placed XDC among the top five blockchain networks by tokenized treasury market cap. It proved XDC’s ability to handle regulated, yield-generating financial products.

Next came the partnership with LIQI Digital Assets in Brazil. Together, they aim to tokenize up to $500 million worth of RWAs. These include financial contracts and investment products targeted at Brazil’s growing digital asset market.

XDC also runs a Real World Asset Accelerator with Plug and Play Tech Center. Eleven selected projects—like Polytrade, Clearpool, and Blockticity—are building tokenization solutions directly on the network. Many of these focus on trade finance, risk modeling, and identity.

Compared to other chains, XDC stands out in three ways: low costs, fast settlement, and a strong focus on regulated finance. It also supports hybrid infrastructure, allowing institutions to tokenize assets while maintaining private control over sensitive data.

XDC isn’t just promising RWA growth—it’s actively onboarding tokenized capital, regulatory support, and commercial applications. That sets it apart in a field still dominated by experimentation.

Inside Dev Sprint 1: Format, Themes, and Timeline

The XDC RWAi Dev Sprint 1 build phase runs from April 28 to May 25, 2025. It takes place entirely online and is hosted on HackerEarth.

Now that the application phase has ended, teams of up to seven members have formed and are beginning to build their solutions over the Month of May. Each team will be building an AI agent or agentic network that addresses a real-world use case. Below are some of the ideas suggested by the event organizers:

  • Risk assessment bots for invoice financing
  • Portfolio optimization assistants
  • DAO governance coordinators
  • Trade automation agents
  • Lending risk evaluators
  • Wallet-based personal finance bots

The sprint encourages multi-agent systems. Projects should showcase agents that interact and divide tasks efficiently.

Teams are using tools like the ElizaOS agent framework, the GOAT SDK, and smart contract templates. Submissions must include a .zip file with code, a README, and optional video. All entries are judged by impact, originality, technical quality, and user experience.

Incentives: What Developers Can Win

The teams are now competing for $10,000 in base prizes paid in XDC tokens:

  • First Place: $5,000
  • Second Place: $3,500
  • Third Place: $1,500

Top teams also qualify for a Demo Day pitch event. Winners there can secure grants up to $50,000 to continue building their solutions.

Bonus bounties are available for integrating sponsor tools:

  • Crossmint GOAT SDK: $1,500 total in credits
  • Civic Auth: $1,500 in USDC
  • Oracle Plugin: Free access to PLI-based oracle feeds for a year

All rewards are subject to project eligibility, judging criteria, and KYC completion.

Tools, Documentation, and Support

Full access to smart contract templates, tutorials, and developer documentation are available through docs.xdc.network. Sprint-specific materials include:

  • ElizaOS SDK for agent building
  • Smart contract boilerplates
  • Live workshops and Q&A sessions
  • Weekly office hours and mentorship
  • Access to a private Telegram group

There are no restrictions on programming languages. Submissions are reviewed based on functionality, not polish. Innovation and relevance to RWAs are key judging criteria.

Community Support and Ecosystem Backing

The XDC developer community is actively supporting this sprint through Discord, Telegram, and X. Partner organizations like Polytrade, QuEx, and Civic are contributing tools and visibility. Community posts have welcomed these integrations and praised XDC’s focus on applied AI development.

The community driven sprint follows the recent launch of the official network RWA Accelerator in partnership with Plug and Play. That program selected 11 startups focused on tokenization, identity, and RWA liquidity, many of whom may collaborate with sprint participants.

This dual-track approach—hackathon-style innovation plus longer-term incubation—positions XDC as a practical option for builders in AI, DeFi, and asset tokenization.

Looking Ahead for RWAi on XDC

XDC’s RWAi Dev Sprint 1 provides a clear opportunity for developers to contribute to the growing real-world asset sector. It offers tools, funding, and support for teams that want to build AI-powered solutions on a public chain with real industry momentum.

The sprint and its broader RWAi program reflect a focused push by XDC to bring meaningful use cases to blockchain. Builders interested in automating financial workflows or creating intelligent agents now have a platform—and an incentive—to do so.
