Coming soon – MOST testnet release

The MOST Testnet release, a crucial bridge between Aleph Zero and Ethereum, is nearing completion, with significant milestones expected in the next two weeks. Final stages include internal audit finalization, Guardian onboarding, and Testnet release. You can catch up on the full roadmap here.

An external audit for MOST, scheduled to begin on March 19 alongside the Testnet release, aims to provide thorough and impartial scrutiny of the bridge’s security, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. A code freeze precedes the audit, halting updates to address findings promptly. The Mainnet release of MOST depends significantly on the audit outcome, with any major issues potentially requiring rescheduling. Stable and secure operation on the Testnets will be monitored for approximately two to three weeks before the final launch, ensuring readiness for deployment.

Aleph Zero ecosystem update – 3.13.24

Core Chain: Significant progress has been made with the release of Testnet 13.0 Zahir, featuring highly anticipated pruning capabilities, followed by a hotfix with version 13.1 to address identified bugs. Efforts are ongoing to enhance the performance of AlephBFT and to refine documentation and user experience surrounding pruning. This progress demonstrates a commitment to improving the core functionalities of the chain.

Common: The milestones include the deployment of Common AMM version 0.5.2 to the Testnet and the implementation of an Architecture Design Record (ADR) for a “Smart Router,” facilitating multi-step swap paths between tokens lacking direct pairs. Additionally, frontend development for farming pools and customization features, along with the creation of an indexer for Common AMM, are nearing completion, alongside the design of a token whitelist for the initial release.

MOST: There was ongoing frontend development and the implementation of basic automated end-to-end tests for the backend. Additonally, there were improvements in error handling for relayers and added support for bridging native ETH. There are efforts are underway to finalize fixes proposed during the internal audit phase.

Privacy enhancements: Work is being finalized on the on-chain verifier, which promises rapid verification of ZK-proofs, and on the core design of the shielder. These improvements emphasize the ecosystem’s dedication to bolstering privacy features for you.
